VoxChimp isn't detecting my hotkey

This is usually a permissions issue. To fix:

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Go to Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring
  3. Make sure VoxChimp is in the list and enabled
  4. If VoxChimp isn't listed, click the + button and add it from Applications
  5. Restart VoxChimp
Text isn't pasting after I speak

VoxChimp needs Accessibility permission to paste text. To fix:

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Go to Privacy & Security → Accessibility
  3. Make sure VoxChimp is in the list and enabled
  4. If not listed, click + and add VoxChimp from Applications
  5. Restart VoxChimp
Microphone not working / No audio detected

To enable microphone access:

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Go to Privacy & Security → Microphone
  3. Enable VoxChimp in the list
  4. Also check System Settings → Sound → Input to ensure the correct microphone is selected
Transcription is inaccurate

Try these tips to improve accuracy:

  • Speak clearly and at a moderate pace
  • Reduce background noise
  • Use a quality microphone (external mics often work better than built-in)
  • Position the microphone closer to your mouth

How do I change the hotkey?
  1. Click the VoxChimp icon in your Dock or menu bar
  2. Open Settings
  3. Under "Hotkey", select your preferred key
  4. Available options: Left Option, Right Option, Left Control, Right Control, Caps Lock
How do I cancel my subscription?
  1. Open VoxChimp and go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Manage Subscription
  3. This will open the customer portal where you can cancel
  4. Your access continues until the end of your billing period
